Pecan Valley Centers has reached a construction milestone with its new mental health outpatient facility, located at 1200 2nd Street in Granbury. The project, which broke ground in August 2025, is officially vertical and represents a significant investment in the mental health services that Pecan Valley Centers provides in Hood County.

In collaboration with the Cumming Group (project manager) and Schwarz Hanson (architect), Pecan Valley Centers has contracted with Muckleroy & Falls for the construction of the 10,000-square-foot outpatient facility.
The new outpatient facility is scheduled for completion in late summer 2026. Once operational, the facility will enhance Pecan Valley Centers’ ability to deliver comprehensive, trauma‑informed mental health services to the community.

The development also comes at a meaningful moment in the organization’s history. As Pecan Valley Centers celebrates its 50th year of service in 2026, the new mental health outpatient facility stands as a symbol of growth and long‑term commitment to meeting the behavioral health needs of Hood County.

Pecan Valley Centers is the Local Mental Health and Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) Authority for six Texas counties: Hood, Johnson, Erath, Somervell, Parker and Palo Pinto. The organization is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic and provides mental health and IDD community support services to individuals regardless of health insurance status or ability to pay.
